We are pleased to introduce Christi O’Brien to the Festival Veterinary Clinic Family.   Christi earned her certification in 2009 in Rehobeth, Delaware.   After a 5 year internship with a grooming salon in Delaware, she brings her skills to our Festival team.   Christi will offer a wide range of pet grooming services. She will provide full grooming or bath and brush only. All grooming services include a nail trim, ear cleaning and anal gland expression if applicable.

Our gentle professional grooming staff takes great care to make your pet as comfortable as possible during their stay. Because your pet will share the grooming area with other pets, we require evidence of current vaccination status. Required vaccines are listed below:

Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Canine Influenza and Bordetella

Cats: Rabies and Distemper

When you schedule your appointment, the receptionist will review your pet’s vaccination status. If vaccinations are needed, we will make arrangements to update vaccines before your pet grooming appointment is scheduled. At the time of your appointment, you will usually have an opportunity to speak with the groomer so that you may give any instructions as to your grooming preferences. The groomer will call you when your pet is ready to go home, which is usually in the mid to late afternoon.

Sometimes, for the safety of your pet and our grooming staff, it is necessary to sedate or anesthetize your pet for grooming. The veterinarian will administer the anesthetic and each pet will be monitored individually by a veterinary assistant. This must be scheduled in advance and the reception staff will have special pre-sedation instructions. Pets requiring sedation or anesthesia will need a recent physical exam and blood testing to assess their health and help determine the safe use of anesthetic medications for their grooming.

Grooming services are available Monday through Friday
